Apple, Brown Sugar, & Ham Pie


2 pounds cooked ham, in pieces
45 apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup apple cider
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar



Preheat oven at 350° degrees F. Alternate ham and apple slices in 10 x 13 inch greased baking
dish. Sprinkle layers with brown sugar, cinnamon, pepper, and butter. End with apple layer.
Pour lemon juice and cider over ham & apple layers. Bake covered until apples are almost
tender, 25 – 35 minutes.

In bowl mix egg, milk, baking powder, flour, and sugar. Pour over ham and apple mixture. Bake
uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until brown. 5 – 6 servings.
