Christine's Corn Bread

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup (240 ml) corn meal (yellow)
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1¼ cups (300 ml) milk
  • 1¼ cups (300 ml) flour
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup (4 tablespoons, 60 ml) melted butter
Instructions:

  • blend the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients
  • do not over mix!
  • bake in greased muffin pan (or greased 8 inch square pan)
  • bake at 425 °F (220 °C) for 20-25 minutes. [Recipe by Christine Dörenberg]
